Juicing Beets Recipes

,
Paleo Recipes :

This is my article dedicated to juicing beets recipes.
Frankly, I love the things, and I really find, I don't know if it's just me, but every time I feel tired or I feel a cold coming on, juicing beets really helps me. Maybe it's a placebo thing. I don't care. I'm making an article especially for that special vegetable in my life.

Juicing Beets Recipes

So here of some stats of said vegetable;

Beets contain calcium, iron, sulphur, potassium, beta-carotene, choline, and vitamin C.
They are high in manganese, an important mineral for brain function.
Beets are also high in minerals that strengthen the liver and gall bladder, and are the building blocks for blood corpuscles and cells.
Beets are famous for their ability to cleanse the blood.

Beet juice is super concentrated so I'd strongly advise you dilute it with water or other juices.
Purchase firm, rock-hard beets. Being a root, they can be stored for months in the refrigerator.

Juicing beets recipes:

Carrot, spinach and beets

4 carrots

beet with greens

5 - 6 leaves of Romaine or other leaf lettuce

3 - 4 leaves of spinach

Scrub organic carrots or peel the carrots if they are not organic. Clean and cut beet into slender wedges, and wash & dry lettuce and spinach leaves. Juice half of the carrots, and the beet, and then you may use the remaining carrots to help push the lettuce and spinach through the juicer.

Power punch

Juice 1 small beet.

Juice 1 pear.

Juice 1 Fiji apple.

Juice a small piece of ginger 2 inches max.

Juice 2 inches of salsify root.

Juice 4 individual celery stalks.

Juice 10-12 carrots.

Juice 1 small parsnip.

Sweet beets

Jon Gabriel Recipes - What Type of Food Does Jon Advocate?

,
Paleo Recipes :

The Jon Gabriel method is a revolutionary yet fully scientifically endorsed method to lose weight.

Jon Gabriel Recipes - What Type of Food Does Jon Advocate?

There are no Jon Gabriel recipes because he does not really advocate any particular diet. At most, he says that one should eat healthy, nutritious food and stay away as much as possible from processed food. The reason why there are no Jon Gabriel recipes is that there is no need for any special diet when you adopt this method. Jon teaches you to regularize the production of two vital fat controlling hormones - the insulin and the leptin; once you manage this, your body would and should actually tell you what you need to eat.

Therefore, Jon advocates no specific diet or food. There are no Jon Gabriel recipes. He believes that all you need to do to lose weight is tune in to your body's language. The body would right itself and bring itself to its ideal weight, provided you help it regain its inner balance. The key to the success of this weight loss method is that there are no recommended recipes like other famous weight loss programs people advocate. People are fed up with complex diets that forbid this and that type of food; or recommend specifically packaged meals.

If you run a search on 'Jon Gabriel recipes' you will get some very interesting collections of recipes. However, make no mistake; these 'recipes' are not part of the book (or guide) he wrote. These are concocted based on the premises that he advocates; he has always advised to eat healthy and nutritious foods, but has not imposed any taboos on eating styles or foods.

What happens when you follow the Jon Gabriel method? Your body becomes tuned to its internal logic and identifies the ideal fat content it should have. Basically, the body finds its balance and once it does so, it works single mindedly to eliminate all the excess fat from the body. In the process, it starts craving for specific foods that provide particular nutrition as per the inner requirement. As you can see, there is no need for specific Jon Gabriel recipes in such a process.

As your body rights itself, it speeds up its metabolic rate and burns fat faster and more effectively. The result is a new you, without any torturous diet or exercise regime or any other side effect. You can do this with or without the so-called Jon Gabriel recipes because you do not actually look for certain type of cooking but foods that provide adequate (read required) nutrition to the body.

The transformation comes from within, driven by your own body and mind's inner power to balance itself. The Jon Gabriel method is meant to activate this inner power and to sustain it just long enough to empower it to take over the body's regulating systems.

While healthy, unprocessed foods would greatly help you, you definitely do not need any specific Jon Gabriel recipes to achieve this goal. Just listening to your body is enough.

Paleo Diet Recipes: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

On first impression you may be thinking that, like most diets, the Paleo diet is going to be too restricting/complicated and mealtimes could become an 'issue'. Not in the least! Do not even consider for a moment that Paleo diet meals and recipes are going to be boring, complicated or lack in variety. Paleo diet recipes result in wholesome flavoursome meals.

Protein plays a vital role in Paleo diet and meals should consist of approximately 60% to 70% percent of your daily food intake. The balance of course being fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds with additional oils used in preparation of the meals such as avocado oil, nut oils etc.

NO GRAIN OR DAIRY IS TO BE CONSUMED

Remember shop fresh, organic, natural and wild. To be totally Paleo, eat seasonal as well - this of course being carbon footprint friendly.

Lunch and dinner Paleo diet recipes and meals can be adjusted according to your own personal lifestyle and requirements. To start out take your usual recipes and merely substitute the 'cannot have' with a 'can have' - you will be amazed how quickly you adjust and how capable you are of making your own Paleo diet recipes.

Some ideas for your three main Paleo diet meals for the day:

Breakfast:

  1. 2 Poached eggs on a bed of lightly panned spinach
  2. Bowl of mixed berries with nuts and cashew cream
  3. A 2 egg omelette with filling of your choice eg - no dairy though
  4. Chicken liver and bacon with grilled tomato.
  5. Fruit smoothy of choice eg banana and nut; berries and fresh coconut blended with ice cubes.
  6. Steamed/grilled fish with grilled tomato and mushroom.
  7. Absolutely nothing wrong with having the leftovers from dinner the night before.

Lunch and Dinners

These can be adjusted according to your daily routine.

  1. Mushroom burger with salad
  2. Roast chicken, vegetables and salad
  3. Meat and vegetable kebab with broccoli and walnut salad
  4. Bolognaise - made with zucchini spaghetti
  5. Prawn, avocado and fresh asparagus salad
  6. Wholesome chunky soup.
  7. Steak, vegetable bake and salad.

Sauces/Dressings

Salads and vegetables can be enhanced with various sauces and dressings eg any easy to make dressing of the combination of honey, lemon juice, seasoning and fresh, finely chopped herbs of choice. Paleo tartar sauce made from Paleo mayonnaise can be added to seafood, be it fish, shellfish or crustacean. A basic Paleo diet recipe for mayo is as follows:

3 - 5 Garlic cloves peeled (large)

Approximately 2 cups of organic olive oil

2 room temperature, lightly beaten free range egg yolks,

juice of 1 organic lemon

small quantity of lukewarm waster

Crush garlic cloves into a paste and add to the lightly beaten egg yolks. Lightly beat with wooden spoon until the mixture turns pale yellow.

While blending the garlic and egg yolk very slowly (drop by drop) add 3 tablespoons of the olive.

Blend gently until the mixture is thick and creamy then add ½ to 1 tablespoon of water and 1 teaspoon of the lemon juice.

Continue stirring while adding the olive oil in a very fine stream. If the mixture becomes too thick once again add 1 teaspoon of water and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.

Continue like this until all the oil is used.

Always mix by stirring in one direction only.

Should the mixture split - put it over into a clean bowl and add a teaspoon of lukewarm water and mix continue like this until fixed.

Most important have fun inventing your very own Pale Diet recipes and meals.

NOT FORGETTING YOU GET DESSERT AS WELL!

Low Carb Recipes For the Prism Weight Loss Program

,
Paleo Recipes :

With more and more people who are concerned with their weights and want to undergo a weight loss program, to choose the right kind of weight loss program to follow can be very difficult. This is because there are many programs out there that one can avail of and there are so many diet recipes that you can explore. The problem though is that what you can only do is to simply try the programs and the recipes first before you see the result of the program. This is the scenario that often beset those people who are into a diet program. As they say, you need to try for you to see the result. But one of the recipes that many people have tried and have proven to be effective is the recipes for the prism weight loss program.

Low Carb Recipes For the Prism Weight Loss Program

There are a number of recipes out there to follow for those who are into diets and one of those that interest many are recipes for the PRISM weight loss program. Diet program provided for by this company is that of a low carbohydrate and faith based program that emphasizes change in an individual's way of life rather than on temporary diet weight loss plan. The Prism weight loss program was developed sometime in 1990 and almost one hundred thousand people follow the program and formed a group of fellows who are also into this diet program. The group in essence becomes the support group of each one of them and is there to encourage one another and share their diet insights and experiences.

As for the recipes for the Prism weight loss program, the main diet recipes are on a low-carbohydrate meal plan which basically calls for cut on sugar, white bread and other processed foods. The program also allows certain leeway for sugar such as the use of unprocessed sugar like honey and even allows for a wider variety of food options. Also, the program aims to eliminate the intake of too many carbohydrates which come from fruits and vegetables. The program unlike the other diet program incorporates a variety of foods to choose from in order for you to have a right and balance diet.

When you join the program they provide for a dietary plan that you should follow for six weeks wherein the whole thing calls for a daily 1,200 to 1,400 calorie-diet. In Prism, what is emphasized is that one should opt for the healthy whole foods rather than the white, processed, and refined products. Almost everything in the diet program has to be weighed in order to ensure that you take just enough calories that your body can burn.

2. 100% Whole Wheat Bread for Bread Machine

Amount Measure Ingredient - Preparation Method

Regular Loaf

- 1 cup Water
- 2 1/2 cups Wheat bread flour
- 1 1/4 tablespoons of Dry milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 1/4 tablespoons Honey
- 1 tablespoon Gluten
- 2 teaspoons Molasses
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Fast-Rise yeast *** OR ***
- 2 teaspoons Active-Dry yeast

Large Loaf

- 1 1/2 cups + 2 tb Water
- 3 3/4 cups Wheat bread flour
- 2 tablespoons Dry milk
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Honey
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Gluten
- 1 tablespoon Molasses
- 2 1/8 teaspoons Fast-Rise yeast *** OR ***
- 3 teaspoons Active-Dry yeast

Directions:

The trick to making 100% whole wheat bread in your machine is an extra knead, which gives the yeast and gluten a second chance to create a lighter loaf.

When your first knead cycle is completed, simply reset the machine and start again. Some manufacturers produce home bakeries with a whole wheat cycle; If your machine doesn't have one, this start- again method works as an easy alternative.

Success Hints:

The gluten gives the whole wheat flour the structure necessary for a good loaf. If your market doesn't stock wheat gluten, try your local health food store. Remember the extra knead. It's especially important in 100% whole wheat bread. Because of the extra knead, use this recipe only on the regular bake cycle.
